Section 101. Registration of converts.

(1) A person who has embraced Islam may apply to the Registrar to be registered under section 100.

(2) If no application is made under subsection (1) any person responsible for the conversion to Islam shall, as soon as possible, report and furnish evidence on the matter to the Registrar.

(3) If the Registrar is satisfied that the requirements of sections 96 and 98 have been fulfilled, he shall register the convert in accordance with section 100 1).

(4) For the purpose of subsection (3) the Registrar may investigate and obtain any evidence as he considers necessary.

(5) To ensure that the requirement of section 96 has been fulfilled, the Registrar may require the person to be registered to repeat the utterance of the Two Clauses before him.
