Criminal Appeal Procedure

Section 48. Criminal appeals to Syar'iah Appeal Court.

The provisions of sections 36 to 47 shall, with the necessary modifications, apply to an appeal from any judgment, sentence, or order of the Syar'iah High Court as they apply to an appeal from any judgment, sentence, or order of a Syar'iah Subordrate Court, except that-

(a)

four sets of the documents mentioned in section 37 shall be transmitted to the Syar'iah Appeal Court;

(b)

the provisions of section 45 shall apply only in the case of an appeal ifrom any judgment, sentence, or order of the Syar'iah High Court in the exercise of its original jurisdiction.
