Section 45. Functions of the Mufti

The Mufti shall aid and advise the Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Pemerintah in respect of all matters of Hukum Syarak, and in all such matters shall be the chief authority in the State of Perlis after the Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Pemerintah, except where otherwise provided in this Enactment.
