PART IV - SYARIAH COURTS

Section 40. Constitution and seal of Syariah Court.

(1) Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan, on the advice of the Majlis, may by notification Courts for the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan at such places as he considers fit.

(2) Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan, on the advice of the Majlis, may by notification in the Gazette constitute a Syariah High Court for the State of perak Darul Ridzuan.

(3) Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan, on the advice of the Majlis, may by notification in the Gazette constitute a Syariah Appeal Court for the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan.

(4) The Court constituted under subsections (1), (2) and (3) shall have and use seals or chops approved by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan, and all documents issued by such Court shall be sealed with the seal or chop of the Court and signed by the Syariah Judge, Syariah Subordinate Court Judge or any officer appointed under section 43 (1) for their respective Courts.
