Section 22. Minor defendent attaining majority.

If a minor defendant attains majority during the pendency of any proceeding, either he or his guardian ad litem may file an affidavit in proof of such majority and there upon the title of the proceedings shall be amended and the guardian ad litem shall be discharged, subject to any question of costs occasioned by his negligence or misconduct.
