CHAPTER 4 - PROCEEDINGS IN CASE OF CERTAIN OFFENCE AFFECTING THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE

Section 178. Appeal.

(1) All sentences passed under this Chapter shall be appealable to the Syariah High Court, in the case of sentences passed by the Syariah Subordinate Court, and to the Syariah Appeal Court, in the case of sentences passed by the Syariah High Court.

(2) Chapter 1 shall, so far as they are applicable, apply to appeals under this section and the appellate Court may alter or reverse the finding or reduce, alter or reverse the sentence appealed against.

(3) Chapter 2 shall also apply to all proceedings by a
Judge under this Chapter.
