PART VIII - CONVERSION TO ISLAM

Section 86. Recognition as Muslims

(1) A person who has converted to Islam and has been registered in the Register of Conversion shall, for all purposes including for the purposes of any Federal or State Law, be treated as a Muslim.

(2) A person who has converted to Islam and has been registered under any law of any State shall, for all purposes in the State of Penang and for the purposes of implementing in the State of Penang the provisions of any law, be treated as a Muslim.
