Section 39. Stay of execution pending appeal.
The filing of a notice of appeal shall not operate as a stay of execution of any judgment, sentence, or order, but the Court appealed from or the Syar'iah High Court may stay the execution of any decision, order, sentence, or conviction pending the appeal, on such terms as to security for the payment of any money or the performance or omission of any act or the execution of any punishment ordered by or in the decision, order, sentence, or conviction as the Court appealed from or the Syar'iah High Court thinks reasonable.
