PART VI - MAINTENANCE OF WIFE AND CHILDREN
Section 60. Duty to maintain children and others.
(1) Unless if an agreement is lost and unless an order of Court provides otherwise, a male is liable to provide maintenance to his children whether they are in his custody or in the custody of other person a home, clothing, food and education as is reasonable taking into consideration his ability and standard of living.
(2) Except as provided above, a person who is liable under Hukum Syarak is responsible to maintain or contribute towards the maintenance of the children if the father of the children is dead or lost or if and to the extent the father is unable to maintain them.
