Section 70. Tenure of office of Pegawai Masjid

(1) Every pegawai masjidshall hold the office with the consent from the Majlis and may be terminated with a notice from the Majlis but no pegawai masjidmay remain in office after reaching the age of sixty-five years, provided that the Majlis may extend the tenure of office of a pegawai masjid which the Majlis considers necyssary from time to time.

(2) It shall be the duty of the Secretary to bring to the notice of the Majlis any disgraceful conduct on the part of any pegawai masjid whether in relation to his duties as such or otherwise and to make any reasonable recommendations.
