Section 149. When appeal may be brought.
(1) The provisions of sections 133 and 134 shall be applicable to appeals from the Syariah High Court in the exercise of its original jurisdiction.
(2) Subject to subsection (1) any person who is dissatisfied with any judgment, sentence or order pronounced by any Syariah High Court in a criminal case or matter to which he is a party, may appeal to the Syariah Appeal Court against such judgment, sentence or order in respect of any error in law or in fact or both or on the ground of the alleged
excessive severity or the alleged inadequacy of any sentence.
