Section 167. Restriction on the building of, or the use of buildings as, and prohibition of use of, mosques.

(1) No person shall erect any mosque or any building to be used as a mosque, or otherwise apply any existing building as or for the purpose of a mosque, without the permission in writing of the Commissioner.

(2) The Commissioner may, from time to time, by order published in the Gazette, prohibit the use of any mosque for any purpose as may be specified in the order.
