Section 207. Contempt of religious authorities.

Whoever treats with contempt the authority of His Royal Highness the Sultan as Head of the Religion of Islam in the State or the authority of the Department or the Majlis or any committee or member or officer thereof or any pegawai masjidi or the authority of any Court or the presiding officer thereof commits an offence and shall be punished with a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding one year or with both.
