PART III - MUFTI AND THE SYARIAH COMMITTEE

Section 32. Appointment of Mufti.

(1) Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan shall appoint a fit and proper person to be the Mufti of the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan.

(2) Upon the commencement of this section, any person who, immediately before the commencement, was the Mufti of the State of Perak shall be deemed to have been duly appointed under this section and shall hold officer as such.

(3) A Deputy Mufti may be appointed by Duli Yang Maha Mulia Sultan to assist the Musti in performing his functions under this Enactment.
