Process To Compel Appearance (Civil Cases)



Section 93. Service in relation to other States.

(1) Where the Chief Qadi, Deputy Chief Qadi, Qadi, or Naib Qadi, under the provisions of any Enactment in force in any State, has issued any summons or any document requiring any person to appear before any Syar'iah Court in that State, and the person is believe to be Terengganu, then, if the Chief Qadi, Depurty Chief Qadi, Qadi or Naib Qadi in the said State requires assistance for the service of the summons or document on the person in Terengganu, the Chief Qadi, Depurty Chief Qadi, or any Qadi in Terengganu may endorse and sign the summons or document, and the summons or document may then be served on that person as if it were a summons or document issued by the Court under this Enactment.

(2) Where, under any Enactment in force in any State. any summons or document issued by the Court under this Enactment has been endorsed by the Chief Qadi, Deputy Chief Qadi, Qadi, or Naib Qadi or in that State and served in that State on the person concerned, then the summons or document shall, for the purposes of this Enactment, be deemed to have been validly served.
