PART VI - MAINTENANCE OF WIFE AND CHILDREN
Section 66. Duty to maintain a child recognized as a member of the family.
(1) If a male person has recognised a child who is not his son as a member of his family he is liable to provide for his maintenance during his childhood to the extent his father and mother is unable to do so and the Court may make any order necessary for the welfare of the child:
Provided this liability to maintain the child shall abate when the child is repossessed again by his father or mother.
(2) Any sum of money expended by a male person for the maintenance of the child may be recovered as a debt from the father or mother of the child.
