PART IV - SYARIAH COURTS
Section 56. Reciprocal arrangement with other states.
(1) Where a Syariah Court in any state in Malaysia issues a summon underthe provisions of any law in force in that state calling any person to appeal before that Court and such person is or is believed to be in the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan, a Syariah Judge or Syariah Subordinate Court Judge may endorse the summon with his signature and the summon may be served on such person as if it were a summon issued by any Syariah Court in the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan according to the provisions of this Enactment.
(2) Where a Syariah Court in the State of Perak Darul Ridzuan issues a summon calling any person to appear in such Court and such person is or is believed to be in any other state in Malaysia and such summon is served on such person according to any law in force in that state, the summon shall for the purpose of this Enactment be deemed to have been duly served as if the service had been affected in the state of Perak Darul Ridzuan.
