ENACTMENT NO. 7 OF 2002 ADMINISTRATION OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM (STATE OF MALACCA) ENACTMENT 2002
PART II - MAJLIS AGAMA ISLAM MELAKA
Section 15. Secretary.
(1) There shall be a Secretary of the Majlis who shall be appointed by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on the advice of the State Authority.
(2) The Secretary shall be the Chief Executive Officer and Administrator of the Majlis and shall be responsible for carrying out the policies and resolutions of the Majlis.
(3) Subject to such directions as may be given to him by the Chairman, the Secretary shall have charge of all correspondence and documents of the Majlis, and shall in all other respects carry out such duties as may be imposed upon him by this Enactment or assigned to him by the Chairman.
(4) The Secretary is entitled to attend all meetings of the Majlis and to participate in its deliberations, but is not entitled to vote.
