ENACTMENT NO. 7 OF 2002 ADMINISTRATION OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM (STATE OF MALACCA) ENACTMENT 2002
PART X - RELIGIOUS EDUCATION
Section 106. Islamic Religious Teaching Supervisory Committee.
(1) The Majlis shall appoint a committee known as the Islamic Religious Teaching Supervisory Committee, which shall consist of—
(a) the Mufti, as a Chairman; and
(b) not less than three and not more than seven persons with appropriate experience, knowledge and expertise.
(2) The Majlis shall be responsible for implementing the decisions of the Committee.
(3) The Islamic Religious Teaching Supervisory Committee shall have power to grant a tauliah for the purpose of the teaching of the religion of Islam or any aspect of the religion of Islam and to withdraw such tauliah.
(4) The Majlis may make regulations providing for—
(a) the procedure, requirements and other matters relating to the granting of a tauliah under this section, including the fees chargeable;
(b) the procedure of the Islamic Religious Teaching Supervisory Committee; and
(c) the allowances payable to members of the Committee.
