Section 116. Cautions and binding over.

(1) In lieu of convicting any person the Court may caution and discharge him.

(2) In lieu of sentencing any person convicted, the Court may make an order binding him over to be of good behaviour for a period not exceeding one year and may accept a bond in any specified sum with or without sureties or the deposit of a sum of money .

(3) On proof of a breach of the terms of any bond under subsection (2), the Court may order it to be enforced as if the amount due thefeon were a fine.

(4) An appeal shall lie from any order under subsection (3).
