PART X - GENERAL



Section 136. Power to make rules.

(1) His Royal Highness the Sultan may by notification in the Gazette make rules regulating the practice and procedure in all matrimonial proceedings under this Enactment as he considers expedient and rules to fix and regulate the fees and costs payable in all such proceedings; subject thereto all proceedings under this Enactment shall be regulated by the practice and procedure of the Court laid down by the Administration of the Religion of Islam and the Malay Custom of Pahang Enactment 1982 [Enact. 8/82], to the extent that such practice and procedure are not inconsistent with this Enactment.

(2) In matters of practice and procedure in matrimonial proceedings not expressly provided for in this Enactment or in any rules made under this Enactment or in the Administration of the Religion of Islam and the Malay Custom of Pahang Enactment 1982 [Enact. 8/82], the Court may adopt such practice and procedure as may seem proper for the avoidance of injustice and the disposal of the matters in issue between the parties.

(3) His Royal Highness the Sultan may by notification in the Gazette make rules for the purpose of this Enactment and, without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing, such rules may provide for-
