Whoever, not being permitted to break fast, during the hours of daylight in the month of Ramadan, consumes any food, drinks afy drink, or smokes any smoking material in public or in any public place, and whoever abets in selling food, drink, or smoking material to persons forbidden to eat, drink, or smoke as aforesaid, commits an offenece and shall be punished with a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or with imprisonment not exceeding three months or with both.
