Section 47. Appointment of Syariah Subordinate Court Judges.

(1) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on the advice of the Chief Syarie Judge, may appoint from amongst members of the general public service of the Federation or the joint service Syariah Subordinate Court Judges.

(2) Every appointment under subsection (1) shall be published in the Gazette.
