ADMINISTRATION OF THE RELIGION OF ISLAM (STATE OF MALACCA) ENACTMENT 2002

PART IV - SYARIAH COURTS

Section 43. Establishment of Syariah Courts.

(1) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on the advice of the Majlis, may by notification in the Gazette constitute Syariah Subordinate Courts for the State of Malacca at such places as he considers fit.

(2) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on the advice of the Majlis, may by notification in the Gazette constitute a Syariah High Court for the State of Malacca.

(3) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on the advice of the Majlis, may by notification in the Gazette constitute a Syariah Court of Appeal for the State of Malacca.

(4) The Yang di-Pertuan Agong, on the recommendation of the Chief Syarie Judge, may prescribe in writing a code of ethics which must be observed by all Syarie Judges and Syariah Appeal Court Judges.
