Section 117. Acknowledging another as mother or father.
Where a person acknowledges another as his father or mother, the acknowledgement, if assented to or confirmed by the acknowledgee, whether during the lifetime of after the deceased of the acknowledgor, shall constitute a valid relationship, in so far as the parties themselves are concerned, provided that the ages of the acknowledgor and the acknowledgee are such that filial relationship is possible between them.
