Section 91. Guardian of an orphan, etc.
If the father or the grandfather of a child dies intestate without appointing a testamentary guardian, any kadi, penghulu, police officer not below the rank of a sargeant, any person having custody of the child or any person conferred with the power of a protector under the Children and Young Persons Ordinance 1947, may cause the child to be brought before the Court and the Court may appoint a guardian whether for his person or his property or both.
