Section 27. Power to prohibit publications.

(1) The Majlis may, notification in the Gazette, declare any book, sound-recording record or tape, document, pamphlet, film, video record or other material of like nature as prohibited publication, if it contains any matter contrary to Hukum Syara' or any doctrine of the Religion of Islam or any lawfully issued fatwa or ruling.

(2) For the purposes of this section, "film" shall have the meaning assigned to it in the Films (Censorship) Act 1952 [Act 35.].
