PART III- SYAR'IAH COURTS Process To Compel Appearance (Criminal Cases)
Section 69. Serving of summons.
(1) The summons shall be served personally on the person summoned by showing him the original copy and serving or delivering to him a copy thereof bearing the seal or stamp of the Court.
(2) Any person on whom a summons has been served shall, if required by the person serving the summons sign an acknowledgment of receipt of the summons at the back of the original copy thereof.
(3) If the person summoned cannot by the exercise of due diligence be found, or, though found, evades the summons-server, the summons may be served by leaving a copy thereof with some adult member of his family or with his servant who resides with him .
