SYARIAH CIVIL PROCEDURE ENACTMENT 1984
PART XXXV - GENERAL PROVISIONS
Section 264. Defendant precluded from defending.
If in any action it is ordered that a defendant be precluded from defending-
(a)
his defence, if any, shall be deemed to have been struck out,
(b)
he shall be permitted to attend the trial of the action, but no to take any part therein,
(c)
the plaintiff at the trial may prove his case and obtainn judgment in like manner as if the defendant had not appeared, and
(d)
for the purpose of any appeal or futher proceedings the judgment shall be deemed to have been given interpartes.
