PART VI - MAINTENANCE OF WIFE AND CHILDREN

Section 55. Right to maintenance shall cease on the expiry of iddah or on the commission of adultery.

(1) The right of a wife who has been divorced to receive maintenance from her former husband under any order of Court shall abate at the end of iddah or if the wife lives in adultery with another person.

(2) The right of a wife who has been divorced to receive maintenance from her former husband under any agreement shall unless the agreement otherwise provides abate if the wife marries another person.
