PART VII - GUARDIANSHIP Guardian of Person and Property
Section 92. Limitation of powers of guardian appointed by Court.
(1) A guardian of the property of a minor appointed by the Court shall not, without the leave of the Court -
(a) sell, charge, mortgage, exchange, or otherwise part with the possesion of any movable or immovable property of the minor; or
(b) lease any land belonging to the minor for a term exceeding one year.
(2) Failure to comply with an order made under this section shall be punishable as a contempt of Court and the Court may in addition to the sentence passed order the person convicted of such offence to pay to the infant a compensation not exceeding the value of the infant's property.
(3) The Court shall not make any order under subsection (2) unless it is necessary or advisable in the interests of the minor.
