Section 57. Appointment of Syariah Appeal Court Judges

(1) The Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Pemerintah, after consulting the Majlis and the Chief Syarie Judge, may appoint seven Muslims to constitute a standing panel of Syariah Appeal Court Judges.

(2) A person who is appointed under subsection (1) shall hold office for a period of three years and is eligible for reappointment.

(3) Every appointment under subsection (1) shall be published in the Gazette.
