Section 216. Refusing to sign statement

Whoever, refuses to sign any statement made by him, when required to sign that statement by a religious officer, legally competent to require that he shall sign that statement shall be guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
