Section 140. Responsibility of District Land Administrator.

No District Land Administrator shall make an order under section 346 or 348 of the National Land Code [56/65] in respect of any land which forms part of the estate of a deceased Muslim until he has satisfied himself that any share of the estate which may be due to the Bait-ul-Mal has been settled or that the Majlis has allowed postponement or settlement as provided in section 141 (2).
