Section 20. Performing Friday prayers at unauthorised place

Any person who gathers or participates in performing Friday prayers at any place other than a mosque where a Friday prayer may be held or a place approved for such purpose by the Majlis commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding three thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding two years or to both.
