PART III- SYAR'IAH COURTS

Section 34. Membership of the Syar'iah Appeal Court.

The Syar'iah Appeal Court shall consist of three members, that is to say-

(a)

the Chairman appointed under section

28(1)

(a);

(b)

a person selected from the Fatwa Committee; and

(c)

one other person selected from a panel of ten persons who profess the Religion of Islam according to the Mazhab Shafi'i and who are appointed every three years and given a Tauliah by His Royal Highness the Sultan.
