PART IV - PENALTY AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION AND REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE

Section 30. False declaration etc. to effect a marriage.

If a person intending to effect a marriage under this Enactment voluntarily makes a false affidavit or declaration or acknowledges a notice, affidavit or certificate falsely which notice, affidavit or certificate is required under this Enactment is guilty of an offence and shall on conviction be liable to an imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or both.
