Section 9. Temporary appointments

(1) In the event of temporary absence or incapacity of any member of the Majlis, the Yang di - Pertuan Agong on the advice of the State Executive Council, may appoint a person to act temporarily in his place.

(2) The appointment under subsection (1) shall determine seven days after the substantive holder gives written notice to the Yang di-Pertua of resumption of his duties.

(3) A copy of the notice under subsection (2) shall also be given to the temporary member.
