PART IV - PENALTY AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION AND REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE

Section 27. Failure to appear before the Registrar at the appointed time.

If a person is required by section 23 to appear before a Registrar but fails to do so within the time provided, he shall on conviction be liable to an imprisonment for a term not exceeding one month or to a fine not exceeding one hundred and fifty ringgit or both.
