PART IX - PENALTIES



Section 117. Apostacy to dissolve marriage.

A Muslim who dislikes his wife or her husband and by deceit becomes an apostate to dissolve the marriage or avoid any of the provisions of this Enactment is guilty of an offence under this Enactment and may on conviction be liable to an imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months.
