CHAPTER 22 - OF PROSECUTION


Section 180. Prosecution.

(1) Prosecution before the Syariah High Court shall be conducted by the Chief Syariah Prosecutor, Deputy Public Prosecutor or Syariah Prosecutor.

(2) Prosecution before the Syariah Subordinate Court may be conducted by-

(a) the Chief Syariah Prosecutor or Syariah Prosecutor;

(b) any Religious Enforcement Officer authorised in writing by the Chief Syariah Prosecutor to act on his behalf; or

(c) a complainant as permitted by the Court.
