PART III - JUSTIFICATION OF OFFENCES CHAPTER 6 - INFORMATION TO THE RELIGIOUS ENFORCEMENT OFFICERS AND POWER TO INVESTIGATE
Section 63. Diary of proceedings investigation.
(1) Every Religious Enforcement Officer making an investigation under this Chapter shall day by day enter his proceedings in the investigation diary setting forth-
(a) the time at which the order for investigation, if any, reached him;
(b) the time at which he began and closed the investigation;
(c) the places visited by him;
(d) any person questioned by him; and
(e) a statement of the circumstances ascertained through his investigation.
(2) Notwithstanding anything contained in any law relating to evidence an accused person shall not be entitled, either before or in the course of any inquiry or trial, to call for or inspect such diary:
Provided that if the Religious Enforcement Officer who has made the investigation refers to the diary, such entries only as such officer has referred to shall be shown to the accused, and the Court shall at the request of such officer cause any other entries to be concealed from view or covered.
