Section 52. Teaching the religion of Islam without permission or tauliah

Any person who, except at his place of residence and in front of his family members only, teaches any ruling or teaching of the religion of Islam without permission or tauliah from the Majlis commits an offence and shall, on conviction, be liable to a fine not exceeding two thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding one year or to both.
