PART II - MARRIAGE
Section 11. Marriage of a female.
(1) No female person who is already married shall contract another marriage with another male person.
(2) If the female person is a divorcee-
(a) she shall not marry any other male person at any time until the expiry of her iddah except, subject to paragraph (d) of this sub-section with her
former husband;
(b) she shall not marry any other male person until she has produced-
(i) a valid divorce certificate issued under any law in force at the time of issue;
(ii) a certified extract of the record of such divorce from the Register of marriage, divorce and revocation; or
(iii) a certificate issued at her request and after an investigation by the Court having jurisdiction in the place where her application is made to the effect she is a widow;
(c) having being divorced before consummation, she shall not marry another male person except her former husband unless the Court having jurisdiction in the place where she is domiciled, gives its consent; or
(d) and if the divorce is of three talak, she shall not marry again her former husband except if she has been lawfully married to another male person who shall consummate that marriage during the subsistence of that marriage and until that marriage is validly dissolved and after the expiry of her iddah.
(3) If she is a widow, she shall not marry any male person at any time-
(a) before the expiry of her iddah; and
(b) she has produced a death certificate of her husband; or
(c) she has produced a certificate of death of her husband from the Court; or
(d) she has produced a certificate of death from an authority recognised and certified by the Court.
