PART VI - MAINTENANCE OF WIFE AND CHILDREN
Section 50. Power of Court to order maintenance to wife and disobedient wife.
(1) The Court may order a husband to pay maintenance to his wife or former wife-
(a) in the course of a proceeding between a husband and wife;
(b) when allowing or in making or after allowing a declaration of a talak or after making an order of divorce; or
(c) if, after a declaration has been made that the wife is presumed dead, the wife is found still living.
(2) A wife is not entitled to maintenance if she is disobedient.
(3) The Court shall have jurisdiction to order any person liable under Hukum Syarak to pay maintenance to another person if that other person is due to mental or physical disability or ill-health unable partially or wholly to earn his livelihood and if the Court is satisfied having regard to the ability of the person liable it is fair to order so.
