Section 26. Consuming of food in the month of Ramadan

Any person who is not suppose to break his fast according to Hukum Syarak, consumes any food or drink or smokes any tobacco or otherwise in the hours of daylight in the month of Ramadan shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable, on conviction, to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgit or imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months and for a second and subsequent offence to a fine not exceeding one thousand ringgit or to imprisonment for a term not exceeding six months or to both.
