PART IV - PENALTY AND MISCELLANEOUS PROVISIONS RELATING TO SOLEMNIZATION AND REGISTRATION OF MARRIAGE

Section 28. Contravention of section 24.

Any person who contravenes the provisions of section 24 shall on conviction be liable to an imprisonment for a term not exceeding three months or to a fine not exceeding five hundred ringgits or both; for a second or subsequent offence be liable to an imprisonment for a term not exceeding five months or to a fine not exceeding eight hundred ringgit or both.
