Section 12. Non-registrable marriages

(1) A marriage in contravention of this Enactment shall not be registrable under this Enactment.

(2) Notwithstanding subsecrion (l) and without prejudice to subsection 40(2), a maniage which has been solemnized contrary to any provision of this Part but is otherwise valid accordingto Hukum Syarak may be registered under this Enactment with an order from the Court.
