Section 46. Appointment of Judges of Syariah Subordinate Courts

(1) The Yang di - Pertuan Agong may, on the recommendation of the Chief Syariah Judge, appoint from amongst members of the general public service of the Federation or the State of Penang, Judges of the Syariah Subordinate Courts.

(2) All appointments under subsection (1) shall be published in the Gazette.
