ENACTMENT NO 5 OF 2005 WAKAF (STATE OF MALACCA) ENACTMENT 2005
PART VII - WAKAF MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE
Section 22. Membership of the Wakaf Management Committee.
(1) The Wakaf Management Committee shall consist of—
(a) a Chairman who shall be appointed from amongst the member of the Majlis;
(b) the State Legal Adviser or his representative;
(c) the State Financial Officer or his representative;
(d) the Mufti;
(e) the Secretary of the Majlis;
(f) the State Director of Land and Mines or his representative; and
(g) four other members.
(2) The Registrar of Wakaf shall be the Secretary of the Wakaf Management Committee.
(3) The members of the Wakaf Management Committee under paragraph (1)(a) and (g) shall be appointed by the Majlis to hold the post for a term of three years and may be reappointed.
(4) The appointment of members of the Wakaf Management Committee under paragraph (1)(a) and (g) may, at any time be terminated by the Majlis, without giving any reason.
(5) A member of the Wakaf Management Committee appointed under paragraph (1)(a) and (g) may, at any time resign, by giving a written notice to the Majlis.
